Title:
Associate Director for Compliance and Accreditation

Position Summary:
The Associate Director for Compliance and Accreditation will oversee compliance related to accreditation, and be the lead in determining NJIT’s preparedness. In this role, the incumbent will interact with a variety of offices. S/he will regularly review practices, required NJIT web pages, and policy changes to assure continued compliance. S/he will work closely with the responsible offices in guiding them toward full formal compliance. S/he will also prepare the comprehensive Middle States compliance report. The incumbent will work closely with the director to support all accreditation activities, manage the self-study process and prepare the final report. The incumbent will assure access to critical data for committees and support documentation of accreditation preparedness through the online Middle States document repository. The incumbent will also design and implement research and write/edit material for the NJIT self-study and related reports and presentations
Similar to the accreditation support, the associate director will work closely with the director in developing the next university strategic plan by managing the project, coordinating committees, providing original writing, editing, and formatting support, preparing analyses, and assessing plan implementation through Key Performance Indicators with specific annual targets. The incumbent will also assist with presentations, as required.

Essential Functions:
-Oversee compliance as related to Middle States, review policies and practices in relevant offices and coordinate complianbce efforts -Design and implement statistical assessment research related to planning and accreditation -Manage the document inventory to assure all accreditation related documents are available and indexed appropriately -Write and edit documents for strategic planning also design and format documents -Support planning and accreditation presentations for the director and provost -Write and edit accreditation documents, including substantive change requests and parts of the self-study provide formatting and design -Manage planning and accreditation project schedules Schedule and arrange university planning and accreditation committees -Interact with faculty and staff as required to manage committees


Additional Functions:
-Provide planning support for financial aid modeling -Provide planning support for enrollment projections -Oversee accreditation activity/event planning -Manage data systems to assemble data for analysis, surveys and committee mailing lists (MS Access); chart preparation (Excel).



Essential Characteristics:
Social science/assessment research and writing. Project management. Mastery or ability to master compliance, planning and accreditation requirements. Data management and statistical analysis. Report writing and preparation. Experience with university financial aid and admissions. Document design Work independently on scheduling and meeting preparation, collaborate with constituencies across the university


Prerequisite Qualifications:
Masters degree in social science, statistics, or information systems. Experience in research and report preparation, managing university programs/projects. Experience with the full MS Office suite including PowerPoint and Access. Must be a competent writer.

Preferred Qualifications:
Compliance, accreditation, and planning experience; Ph.D. in social science, statistics or related field
