Assistant/ Associate/ Full Professor of Finance and/or Business Data Science

Position Summary:
The Martin Tuchman School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenured/tenure-track faculty position in finance and/or business data science beginning in the 2019-2020 Academic Year. All professorship ranks will be considered and commensurate with qualifications and accomplishments of the applicant. Candidates must have earned their Ph.D. in finance, business analytics or data science or closely associated academic area, as well as have a strong interest in financial technology, quantitative finance, MIS and/or artificial intelligence and machine learning.
In particular, we are seeking candidates who will contribute significantly to the Business Data Science Ph.D. Program and Financial Technology B.S. and M.S. programs. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience. The individual must have completed the Ph.D. at time of appointment in September 2019.

Essential Functions:
The main duties of the position include research, teaching and service/outreach. Successful candidates must demonstrate a record of scholarly accomplishment and a commitment to contributing original research into leading peer-reviewed publications. In addition, the applicant should be interested in teaching the full array of finance or business data science and related courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Essential Characteristics:

The candidate must be capable of deliverying excellent instruction in a full array of courses, face-to-face and online, at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as in Finance or the new Business Data Science Ph.D. Program.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
Candidate must have earned their Ph.D. in Finance or Business Data Science or a closely associated academic area at time of appointment in September 2019 and meet Scholarly Academic requirements of the AACSB.
