Assistant/Associate Professor of Architecture in Digital Fabrication

Position Summary:
The College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in the field of Digital Fabrication at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment is within the School of Architecture at the College, with anticipated cross-disciplinary engagement with students in the School of Art + Design as well.


Essential Functions:
The successful candidate will have an established research agenda grounded in digital fabrication, with a focus on robotic fabrication and CNC milling as well as experience with design/build and rapid prototyping applications. The successful candidate will have a proven record in funded research together with demonstrated teaching and leadership abilities. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching courses in digital fabrication, hands-on workshops, and design and research studios.


Prerequisite Qualifications:
Minimum qualification is a terminal degree in architecture, material sciences, engineering, or a related field, with a PhD preferred.
