Assistant Professor (Applied Mathematics)
The Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level in the broad area of applied mathematics (applicants whose research is primarily in mathematical biology should apply to a second DMS assistant professor position, announced separately).
The appointment is to start in Fall 2018.Candidates should have a Ph.D. in mathematics, applied mathematics or related discipline with strong research, funding and teaching potential for consideration at the assistant professor level. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
