MichalopoulouPosition Type:FacultyPosition Summary:The Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS) at the New Jersey Institute of Technology seeks candidates to fill a tenure-track position at the assistant or associate professor level in the areas of statistics, data science, statistical machine learning, and biostatistics. The appointment is to start in Fall 2021. The Department is particularly interested that candidates be able to teach data science courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in statistics, data science, mathematics, applied mathematics, or related discipline with strong research, funding and teaching potential for consideration at the assistant/associate professor level. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. DMS is recognized for its strong program in mathematical sciences that offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, with Ph.D. program tracks in Applied Mathematics and Applied Probability & Statistics.
