Post Doctoral Research Associate

Position Summary:
Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in the field of mathematical and computational biology in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of renewal of one additional year, subject to satisfactory performance. In addition to research duties, the candidate is expected to teach one course per academic year. The start date is September 4, 2018 or earlier. Essential Functions:
Conduct research in mathematical and computational biology, take part in seminars, group meetings and other research activities of the mathematical biology research group at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, and teach one undergraduate mathematics course per academic year.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
A candidate should hold a PhD in applied mathematics or related relevant discipline. At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university and the SPHS Leadership Council, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
